HEAVY RIFFS.
SHORT WALKS.
A pocket scout for Shark Bait. Concrete, colour, old-town friction and modernist Neugereut — close to the hotel or Saturday’s venue.
The shortlist.
hotel or venue
Walking ranges are planning estimates from the base named on each card — the hotel or Jugendhaus Neugereut — based on location geography and public approaches; no live pedestrian routing or on-site survey. Budget extra for crossings, gear and diversions. Filtering uses the upper end of each range. Illustrated cards are framing studies, not location photos.
Pick a circuit.
Four compact shoots across two bases. The ~20-minute limit applies to a spot’s one-way distance from its named base, not the full outing.
Each leg has Apple and Google walking directions from the previous stop. Check the pin before starting; destination searches are landmarks, not surveyed camera positions. Hotel routes do not require crossing the Neckar or entering railway property. The Neugereut route starts and finishes at the venue. Timings below are estimates, not measured routes.
Keep the good takes.

The practical bit.
Location evidence checked 10 October 2026. Existence and appearance are researched; filming permission, trip-day access and clear shooting space are not confirmed.
Your base
Motel One Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt
Badstraße 20, 70372 Stuttgart, Germany
The hotel confirms the address and proximity to Wilhelmsplatz. All spot walking times start here. “Back to hotel” uses your current location in the chosen maps app.
Saturday gig base
Jugendhaus Neugereut / JimPazzo
Flamingoweg 24, 70378 Stuttgart, Germany
Saturday 17 October 2026
The city and operator listings confirm the venue address. Neugereut cards use this entrance as their walking base. Gig timing is crew-supplied; confirm load-in, access and the performance schedule with the promoter or venue.
What changes this week
Old Wilhelmsbrücke: closed. Stuttgart’s July 2026 update reports a temporary pedestrian/cycle bridge in service and demolition of the old bridge planned for April 2027. Do not use the old span. These routes avoid the crossing entirely. City update ↗
Wasen: after the festival. Official Volksfest dates end 11 October 2026. Dismantling vehicles or barriers during 14–19 October are a planning possibility, not a verified closure. Scout the Hall of Fame approach first; skip it if restricted. The fairground is not included as an available set. Organiser dates ↗
Market mornings. The city lists the Cannstatt Marktplatz market on Tue/Thu/Sat, 07:00–13:00. During your stay, that means Thu 15 and Sat 17 October. Allow for stalls and clearing-up afterwards; verify locally. Market listing ↗
No forecast, event-free window, fountain operation or night lighting is guaranteed. Check weather and signs on the day. October leaves, rain and early darkness can change a setup quickly.
Access is not shoot clearance
The city requires advance permission for filming using public traffic space and asks for applications at least two weeks before filming. Your trip is closer than that: contact the permit team now to establish what is feasible for your actual crew and equipment. A handheld camera or a public pavement does not establish an exemption.
Stuttgart filming permission guidance ↗ · +49 711 216 91127
- All ideas are scouting candidates. Confirm any venue, park, artwork or property permissions needed for the intended promotional use.
- Use signed public paths and marked road crossings. Keep walkways, cycle routes, entrances and tactile paving clear; no unattended kit or cables across paths.
- Railway portals are viewed only from the public street. No tracks, embankments, platforms, service doors, fenced land or climbing.
- No bridge or river-edge stunts. Watch cyclists, wet leaves and slippery paving. Rehearse movement in a clear area; use a spotter for camera movement.
- Keep playback quiet. Do not single out bystanders without their agreement, and avoid identifiable children. Ask before filming businesses, interiors or occupied terraces.
- Artworks and reference photos can have separate rights. A legal graffiti wall is not a blanket licence to reproduce the art in a campaign. No drone operation is planned.
Phone use, sharing & installation
Use the single file offline
Save shark-bait-stuttgart.html to your device and open it in a browser that permits local HTML and JavaScript. The guide, sketches, filters, routes and checklist need no network. Maps and reference pages open external services and need connectivity or a separately downloaded map.
Some phones open downloaded HTML in a file-preview viewer that disables scripts or links. Android often offers “Open with” a browser, depending on the file manager. iPhone Files previews are not a reliable way to run an HTML app. If tabs or buttons do nothing, use a trusted local HTML viewer that supports JavaScript, or the optional web version described below. Test your phone before travel.
Send it to another crew member
Share the HTML itself via AirDrop, Quick Share, a messaging attachment or email attachment. No login is built into the guide. Each device has its own notes. Use Crew plan → Export crew data, send the JSON file, then import it on the other device. Import merges saved locations and replaces notes/checklist entries present in that export. A text call sheet is also available for plain-text sharing.
Browser storage for local files is not guaranteed, may be cleared, and may change if you rename or move the file. Keep an exported backup. A new copy of the HTML does not carry your notes automatically.
Add to Home Screen / optional PWA
A downloaded file:// HTML file cannot reliably be installed as a PWA or added as a working home-screen web app on iPhone or Android. There is deliberately no pretend “Install” button.
For reliable home-screen access, optionally serve this file from an HTTPS static host. iPhone Safari then offers Share → Add to Home Screen; Android browser menus may offer Add to Home Screen or Install, depending on browser and site eligibility. A shortcut alone does not guarantee offline use.
A proper offline PWA needs a web manifest, icons and a service-worker file served with the page from a secure origin, plus an initial online visit. That is an optional multi-file hosted version; it is not included in this portable single-file edition. No hosting has been set up.
Reference images & visual approach
Each spot links to a city, heritage or venue reference page. Use available photographs to recognise the site and check camera angles. They may show another season or older conditions; the city’s bridge replacement rendering is a future design, not a current location photo.
The built-in line illustrations are original composition prompts, not photographs, surveyed elevations or representations of today’s graffiti. They work offline. No third-party images, fonts, tracking or map tiles are loaded by this file.
Shark Bait direction: wide-lens attitude, a tight group silhouette, a clean eye line and one bold colour. Capture a landscape press frame, a vertical social frame and a quieter portrait before moving. Lens suggestions are full-frame equivalents; phone 1× is a useful wide starting point.
Source ledger
Primary/local evidence checked 10 Oct 2026. Addresses and relative layout support the suggested circuits; walk ranges and creative concepts are editorial estimates. No live route timing or step-free audit was performed.
